Cherai beach situated near the northern side of Vypin Island, stretches to about 10 km and is ideal for those looking to take a swim as the tide is mostly low and the waves are gentle. The beach shore is also known to be frequented by Dolphins and one may be lucky to catch a glimpse of these lovely sea creatures. It is one of the few places where the backwaters and the sea can be seen to come together in picture postcard frame. The beach is clean and less busy during the weekdays. Visitors can indulge in some fun filled activities like paragliding at the beach.
