Punjab

The state of Punjab is located in the northwestern part of India. The name literally means ‘ the land of five rivers.’ Renowned for its cuisine, culture, and history, the state is one of the most prosperous states in India. The land is very fertile and therefore agricultural activities are a major source of revenue for many. The people are vibrant, warm most importantly fun-loving. IT also houses some forts that are steeped in history and one can visit historic and religious sites like The Golden Temple, The Wagah border, The Jallianwala Bagh, The Sheesh Mahal. The best time to visit is from October to March. The major airports are Chandigarh and Amritsar.
