Meghalaya, the pristine scenery and Indian charm is a beautiful state nestled amid Assam and Bangladesh. Meghalaya, literally meaning "Abode of the Clouds" takes distinction of being among the wettest places on earth. The Cherrapunji belt receives the highest rainfall in the world. Home to an extraordinary diversity of peoples, the Khasi, Jantia and Garo tribes. Meghalaya is dotted with numerous tourist spots. Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya has many beautiful sites such as Lady Hydari Park, Elephant falls, Ward's lake, Shillong peak, and the golf course, one of the best in the country.

1Guwahati – Shillong (120 km / 2.5 hrs.)

Arrival at Guwahati Airport/ Railway station. On arrival meet the driver and transfer to Shillong, en route visit Umiam Lake (boating charges on direct payment basis). If time permits visit Wards Lake, Elephant falls. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

2Shillong – Day trip to Cherrapunjee (55km / 2 hrs. one way)

After breakfast, drive towards Cherrapunjee and go for sightseeing of Cherrapunjee: Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Nahkhalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Thangkharang Park and Mwasmai Cave – is only a distance of 150 meters is open for tourists, while the other section is closed. The stalactites and stalagmites caves have innumerable forms, shapes and sizes inside leaving one to imagine as many life forms as possible. This magnificent natural wonder is the handiwork of years of natural abrasion and underground water. Kho Ramhah Rock or Motrop to see a single gigantic cone shaped rock formation. En route stop to visit Elephant fall, Ram Krishna mission, echo park, Garden Cave, Wei Sawdong and Arwah cave. Evening return to Shillong for overnight stay. (During dry season waterfalls may not have enough water.)

3Shillong – day trip to Dawki & Mawllynnong (90 kms / 3 hrs one way)

After breakfast proceed to Mawlynnong Village. Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 kms from Shillong and is a community based eco-tourism initiative. The community has made collective effort to maintain the ambience of a clean village. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living root bridge at a neighboring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Later drive to Dawki and Shnongpdeng, visit Indo-Bangladesh border and Umngot River (one can enjoy country boat ride here on direct payment basis). Evening return to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

4Shillong – Guwahati (120 km / 3 hrs.)

Day 04: Shillong – Guwahati (120 km / 3 hrs.) After breakfast check out from hotel and drive towards Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati, we shall visit Kamakhya temple. Evening we shall go for sunset cruise on the Mighty River Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

5Departure from Guwahati

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport/ Railway station for your onward connection.
